Default Has anyone dealt with 928 International or dashtop.com?

I am thinking of buying a dash and pod overlay for my 928 from 928 International or Dashtops.com but I don't know anything about these companies. Which company is a reliable company to deal with or will I have problems? Do they offer a good product? Thanks for any replies.

I have dealt with both 928 International and 928 Specialists and they are both top notch. Check out the new user thread for the Big3. Have not had dealings with Dashtops.

Must be a newbie. Everybody here deals with 928 Intl. at some time during ownership. If not....they must be dealing with the other two of the big three.

Mark, Jim and Tom at 928 Intl. are top notch guys and you wont find anyone better to deal with when it comes to 928s. Though talking to the lovely Jeannie at 928 Spec. will make you think about that for a few minutes.

As far as those overlays are concerened (in my opinion), I've never seen one installed that looked good. Save up some more $$$ and buy a used, remanufactured or new Dash and Pod from 928 Intl. It's the best way to go, and you will be happy you did it. Installing them isn't that hard.

That overlay is only a temporary solution IMO.

I've dealt with all of the big 3. 928 Int'l is a reliable vendor, as are the other two of the big 3.

Jim and Mark at 928 International are top notch. I have also bought from 928 Specialists and they too are great.

You should check out the dash and pod overlays at

http://www.jageng.com/auto_1.htm.

There is a lot of other unique and cool 928 stuff to see there as well.

Of the two companies that you have listed, I have experience with one. I have always received great service, support and advice from 928intl.

I've had the same problem with each of the big 3; I've noticed that each time I talk to one of them my credit card bill goes up at the end of the month!
I suspect a conspiracy!!

I just installed the pod and dash cover from 928 Int'l on my car.
It's a decent product but not too simple to install. Lots of trimming, fitting, re-fitting, and careful silicone-ing. It looks pretty good but I need to find a clever way to inject some silicone into some spots where I did not get enough down and it's a bit loose there. I think I can fab a little J-pipe I can attach to the tube and get that to work. I should have gotten more silicone down first.

Once fitted, I think you need to keep the car in the shade or use a sunshade, or it will warp. The better the cover is supported the less of a problem that will be.

ask me again in October how the cover is doing :-)

Joel saw your post on the overlay. What brand did you use and what do you think of it now? Jason
