Default Bosch# for 3bar L-Jet type FPR?

Anyone know if a 3 bar L-Jet type regulator exists (911?), and if so, the Bosch part number?

I'm happy at 3bar, so I don't really need my adjustable FPR.

TIA!

PorKen,

If you are only looking for ~3BAR, you can just go to the LH 4V unit.

Porsche specs for that series (87MY and up M28.41/42/47/49/50) are as follows:

Pressure at engine standstill (relay bypassed): 3.8 +/- .2BAR

Check value at idle : 3.3BAR

Minimum pressure after 20 min shut down : 3.0 BAR

Porsche P/N : 928.110.198.02
Bosch P/N : 028.160.262

One of the larger purveyors of 928 parts will have a used one. If you need a new one, PM me.

If you are feeling flush, I can get you an adjustable Bosch reg that looks (save for the adjusting screw and nut) and fits exactly like the stock unit - but it AIN'T cheap. Damn neat though if you have to look 'stock' to pass the smog-*****.

gbyron,

Thanks for the info, but I need no more than 3 bar (43.5PSI). I tried 50PSI on the dyno, and she lost power, so 3.8 bar (55PSI) would be too much.

gbyron - thanks much!

If one is not available, I might try the 'put the 2.5 in a vice' trick and squash the can down until it puts out 3.
