Hi, I am a newly listed Renn list user so though this thread would be a good one to start with... I live in Auckland, New Zealand and have been a viewer of Renn L for some time. There are some very informative and friendly 928ers out there!

I own a Guards Red 87 S4 A/T which is basically standard and I 'm not famous!

Apparently MC hammer owned one - It was on e-bay for about a day some time last year. It looked like a cut down "S" with a customised body kit - over $100 K worth of modifications ---so the ad said.

Also, Vic Elford (former test driver for Porsche and Le man's winner ) and owned a 928. His wife liked it as "it had plenty of room for her handbag and her son's long legs"

Ferry Porsche never owned a 4-door 928 - he had a four seater, which still had two doors.

That car - the "928-4" - was made in 1984, and already had many new features, some of which reached production later. It had a 4-valve engine, S4 style front and rear bumper covers and lights, and projection lights - just to name a few. It was dark green metallic and had a leather and cloth interior.

The 4-door 928s were made by ASC corporation in the late 80ies or early 90ies. I have heard they made four of them, but only two are known of - one here in the US, the other is in a private museum in Germany. Both are burgundy metallic, even though different tones of burgundy, and have different rear ends.

what counts for me, is the fact that i own one.
i don't give a solitary ****, whether steven spielberg had one or not.

unless, you could cough up a list with vin no. and the famous owner...

I remember seeing fotos of Uday Hussain's bullet hole riddled 928. Anyone have this? His dad, Saddam, also had a 928. I have a foto of it somewhere if anyone intererested.
