Default Help w/ standalone Gauge cluster wiring

I'm hoping someone has had experience wiring the late model gauge cluster independently or could offer some assistance. I'd like to use the stock sensors or equivalents and just feed the gauge inputs as needed. With more than a few hours of bench testing under my belt, my progress is disappointing.

Here are the schematics I'm working with:

Find the connector near your brake booster, that connects the old engine harness to the relay panel. It was under a cover and clipped to the firewall on my car.

Now reference this diagram:

Just run a wire from each sensor pole to where it belongs on the car-side of the connector. On my NA I cut off the harness side from a donor car and just made it part of the new harness, makes it easy.

Thanks for the input Odonnell, the diagram you've shared is one not in my binder.
However, I'm trying to use the cluster independent of any OEM wiring.
