You can use this kit to mount your license plate to the front tow hook (center of bumper in top "grille opening"
You'll see drop-down menu at the top of the page...you can select the kit for "Porsche 944 turbo" and it will fit 968.

I bet you could fashion something using two sided tape. That stuff is pretty strong and would get you by for a little while and won't damage the paint underneath.

I did the tape thing in Danville a year ago. Got signed off. Removed the plate a mile and a minute later. Scraped the tape off with my fingernail.

I've got the US Mill Works mount. It's really nicely made. If you're willing to spend a few $$, it's a good solution. I keep it wrapped in a black cloth under the back of the driver's seat, where it's mostly hidden. On the rare occasions that I leave the car unattended on the street, I screw it in. If I ever get pulled over, I figure that it also gives me a fighting chance to talk my way out of the ticket.

Does anyone use the US Mills holder on his 968 and can share a picture?
Is there any concern with the airflow to the engine on a 968?

I still did not mount my front license plate but expect VA to be quite strict enforcing it. Does anyone have experience in getting an exception on VA for the front license plate, as I see a lot of Porsche and Tesla without the front license plate.

Thanks

Not sure VA State law has an exception clause. Is your bumper free from holes for a plate mount?

US Millworks has a nice pic of the product mounted on the front of a 944 Turbo on their website.

I don't know if you have the room under or in the front fascia but take a look at this:

It actually has two holes already from the previous owner driving it in VA. Doing some research last night I found the VA statute that states that antique vehicles (which per new definition are 25 years and older) are fine with carrying single license plate only. According to that I would only have to wait until January 2018.

Thanks

It is indeed a great piece, but on the 968 I am not sure about the air flow to the engine with the US Millworks piece mounted. Unfortunately, they do not have pictures of a 968 with the license plate holder, but only of the 944.
Do you know anyone using it on a 968?

Thanks
