Default Head Restoration for corroded 944/951/968 heads

We now are offering a head restoration service for 944, 951, and 968 heads.

If you have badly corroded heads like these below - we probably can save them! Some of these heads are getting very hard to come by (like 951 heads) and restoring them is way cheaper and faster than finding replacements.

Here is the link:
https://928motorsports.com/services/...estoration.php

Pricing:
16v heads: $310 each head
32v heads: $360 each head

* Pics below are 16v 928 heads. I am doing a set of 928 GTS heads now, will post before-and-after pics for them as soon as I can.

What causes this severe corrosion to happen? Incorrect antifreeze?

That's amazing you can save those, and for the cost involved, an excellent value as well.

What causes this severe corrosion to happen? Incorrect antifreeze?
1) Maintain a quality anti-freeze in your system that has the right additives. In this case, corrosion inhibitors for aluminum.
2) do not use tap water - especially if you know yours has a lot of mineral content (promotes ionization). Use distilled water.
3) maintain a good ground between the engine and the chassis. Merely looking to see that your ground strap is in place is not enough. Many have removed their engine ground strap and discovered it is badly corroded inside. Replace as needed.

Here is a pretty good article about cooling system corrosion via electrolysis:
