Well I can't find that Alarm Control Unit (not alarm relay)- 1990 944S2
I know in the past I have read posts stating the the alarm control unit is under the passenger floor boards on the later 944s. Everyone's pictures show the Alarm relay there next to the DME. Yet, I don't see a single picture showing the Main alarm control unit.
I Looked everywhere and don't see it. I even looked behind the radio as it can be found in earlier builds. I don't want to tear up carpet to see if it is buried in the floor back closer to the passenger seat- where is about the only place I have not looked. Does anyone have photos on the unit installed. There are zero on the internet.
Thanks, I have to replace the silly thing gone bad.

The unit is supposed to be attached to the metal plate that the DME bolts into. Hooks on with a clip. If it's not there it might have been bypassed by a previous owner if they had an aftermarket alarm installed.
Do you see two white connectors that are missing a receptacle? It's one 8 pin plug and one 2 pin plug.

It seems that what i believe to be the Alarm Relay, is what others might be calling the alarm module:
Here is the other side of the component:
This is the Alarm Module Component that I am expecting that I need to replace (from eBay) :
Thanks for your input.

That module (eBay) is for 1991 and up models. It combined the Central Locking and Alarm systems into a single package, hence the two large connectors. If your car had the combined module, your would have found it in place of the alarm module (what you labeled as relay) you see.
The module in your second picture is the alarm module.
You should find the central locking module under and attached to the steering column.
Be aware that the alarm module in the 1989 and up models is WIRED different from the previous alarm modules. If you attempt to use the alarm bypassing technique on Clark's Garage, or other websites, you WILL damage the wiring to the alarm module.

TIger, the alarm or the central locking?
I don't think central locking was available before 1986.
The alarm module may be under the steering column. Pulling it will keep you from starting the engine unless you jumper around it. Clark's Garage has details.
But if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Dont even think about jumping out functions unless you have traced and checked out the wiring diagrams.
For the OP the alarm control is the one identified. The relay is in the fuse box. Most of the wires go to the fuse box to various connections. Two go from the relay to the door loom and on to the cl. UK cars can have additional boxes installed as part of the official Porsche UK aftermarket system. The porsche wiring diagram specifies a jumper on both the controller and the relay. Make sure you have the right model year diagram.

On the 944S2, the alarm control module is the cigarette-pack sized box in the second photo with a 928 part number ending in a country code, e.g., USA, for the North American market.
They are located behind the DME under the passenger side floorboard, and are attached with a metal bracket.
When this part goes bad, the car will not start. I've never bypassed one but have replaced two. One on my US spec car and another on my Swiss spec car. Both had 928 part numbers with a country code for each respective market.
These are very expensive new (around €160) so if you can find a decent, working unit on eBay, it's definitely worth a try.
