Dash has plenty of UV cracks.
No, the car is not a typical parts car condition, but I only want to keep 1 Porsche and this is not it. Advertised but one has bought this one. It's a weird market locally.

That's an idea Spencer. Not quite sure what the process is for selling a car from Canada to a US resident.
I've gone from $3200 down to $1500 and all I get is jokers that don't have a clue. Jesus... $1500 for a very decent "project" car. But here it is... parked and unloved. Ticks me off.

So I'm thinking the near new MDSD headers, the manual sunroof & manual window regulators can be useful for Rennlist folk. Got some engine rebuild gaskets & seals... and other tasty bits. Suspension has been refreshed for anyone looking for shocks/struts.
Then I'll call the metal guy to pick the shell up and pay me $150 to crush it. Good bye 40 year old Porsche. It's sad.

Noooooooooo
Should be pretty straightforward to bring an old Canadian market car to US...the build standard is the same, but you might not be able to sell it to California or CA-emissions states.
Throw it on 924board.org...might be someone local.

Well, it appears the "breaking" of this car has begun. I'm pulling my local ad for the complete car. People expect a mint 924 for the price I'm asking. Idiots. I don't like selling cars to these people. But I do like selling parts.
Front seats are being quoted for Montreal, Quebec to someone who will appreciate them.

Too bad for it, its a nice car, and you spent some time and money on it....but better parted than unloved and sold for washing machine money.
At least you tried.

Manual window regulators $150 US plus shipping. All the bits you should need to convert from power. These work well, but the pass side is using a power window "ball" as opposed to a manual disc in one of the points. Generally it's undetectable and still goes up & down.
4 speed **** on newer shifter and 6 month old genuine Porsche rubber shifter boot, comes with vintage arm rest/ashtray. $100 US plus shipping

Geezus, so I unbolt the seats for the buyer & he hasn't been heard from. This car has been taking up space in the garage for 2 days... now I'm putting the seats back and going to try and sell complete again. My co-worker says the price is too low to get serious interest. Can't wait to move on. Maybe there's a reason it hasn't sold. Maybe I'll write off the 944 in a big crash, then I'll be crying I sold ol' Gramps.
I guess there won't be any parting out of Gramps, I thought there might be interest. Sorry to waste everyone's time.

how much would it cost to rent a safe garage nearby your house ?
You can dry store Gramps there and move on with your life.
Some day in the future you'll want to take him for a drive and you'll be happy you spent 20 bucks a month for a small garage.
Or maybe somebody will come and pick it up if you ask some serious money for it. Nobody wants to go near a worthless car...or at least a car tha the seller thinks is worth so little. Asking less for your 924 is not the right way.
When you have the time you can work on getting it perfectly reliable and why not bring it to ROW spec 125hp? I told you i have a set of pistons i can send you. I can also look for a dizzy and ignition box...all bolt on stuff to 125hp...while you're there you can machine off some mass of the flywheel and it will be a totally different animal compared to now.
I keep two 924s, i dont really use them that often...but they dont need feeding nor they cost me money for sitting in my garage/drive way. When i feel like driving them i do, when i feel like spending on them i do, when i feel like working on them i do...simple as that.
