Thumbs up 944 FALL Meet & Greet, Mountain Run, Go Karts - ATLANTA GA - Nov. 12-13

Hi everyone,

We invite you to the 2016 Porsche 944 Fall Meet & Greet! This is an annual event, with a big turnout of cars - so you won't want to miss it!

Saturday's meet is basically a big 924/944/968/928 car meet. It is not a car show, there will be no judging, just come out and have a good time. It is a chance for owners and enthusiasts to check out each others cars, socialize over tasty pizza, and it makes for great photos as well. This meet has drawn over 50 944's in the past, and we're hoping to smash that record this year!

Sunday is all about driving. You will enjoy a spirited drive through the twisty scenic mountain roads of north Georgia. We will make a stop for lunch (probably in Dahlonega but possibly elsewhere), and then head over to AMP (Atlanta Motorsports Park) for go-karting. If you haven't driven the kart track at AMP, you'll love it!

Here is what you need to know............

Saturday 11/12, 5pm: 944 Fall Meet & Greet
Address: Perimeter Village, 4745 Ashford Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30338

Sunday 11/13, 9:30am: Mountain Run, followed by lunch, then go-karting at AMP
Address: 270 Walmart Way, Dahlonega, GA 30533

More details to come soon. Please post in the comments if you would like to join us, and I will update you with more information as it comes.

Thanks and we'll see you there.

Thinking of driving down from New Jersey. What type of turn out are you expecting?

Awesome! Last year we had between 50 and 60 944's show up. This year I'm hoping the break 75+ but we'll see. I've really been nagging everyone more than usual about attending - so I hope it works, lol. It would be great if we could breach 100 cars and I think it's possible if everyone plays their cards right. Between my phone and email list of 944 owners in the Southeast region alone I've got roughly 300 people! This event is all about getting everyone together in the same place at the same time!

Hope you can make it down!

I created a Craigslist ad for those disconnected to or uninformed of Rennlist, Pelican, Facebook etc. and that usually brings out a handful of locals. If you scroll through the photos I attached to the ad, you can see some of the coverage from this event of years past. I just wish there was a better way to show how amazingly awesome the mountain run roads are that we take. They are definitely some of the best in the country.

50 plus cars sounds like a nice turnout. I will most likely head down.
