Whoa there hoss ; the LSD isn't about power so much as transferring it to the ground. Just because an NA makes a bit less power doesn't mean you won't benefit from an LSD transmission.

I think I covet your garage as much as that car. You've got a clean car to complement that clean space.
Let us know if you have any questions along the way - this forum has been really helpful to me along the way. I don't think I'd have attempted half the crap I've done without this resource!

I had the upper part of the rear seats recovered with the fabric from werk924. Here's the image:

There are two styles: the European cars were fitted with a dated version on the front side which has a 944 image and smooth on the back where some dealers incscribed the new owner's name.
The North American cars came with the same size medallion but not dated. There is a 924 version, a 944 version, and a 911 style. They were only utilized in the cars built for the model year 1988 celebrating the Jubilee Celebration of 250,000 - 911s constructed and 100,000 944s built, both occurrences during the same model year of both cars... but the euro cars have the medallion dated '87 because they do not identify their cars the same, going by year of manufacture in a calendar year, not model year. Means we are getting '88 cars which are actually being made in the previous year. Sometimes as early as July, August, September, etc. but to north American they are all '88s.
Those medallions are silver, thick, and heavy and not to be confused with the 944 Calendar coin which is smaller and bronze in color and about the size of a 50 cent piece.

In our 944 models the medallions came only in the 1988 Coupe normally aspirated cars which were all built very early in the process, making them all lower serial numbered cars. The highest production date I have personally seen is November of '87. Mine is #733 and was made in August of '87.
They all came with one of 2 colors: Zermatt Silver or Satin Black Metallic and both colors came with the silver and grey multi-color cloth interior and silver plush carpeting. Most are sticks but several autos are known and nearly all came with the same host of options with little variance. Only a few had Sport Seats..... they are unique and for some an 'acquired taste', altho I truly love mine.
There is a very rare dealer handout, 4 pages long from Porsche, listing options and showing all 3 model lines with the colors. A medallion photo is in there as well; watch for them to surface @ literature sales or ebay, but they can be very expensive. I cringe at what I paid for mine, many years after I had successfully found a decent Jubilee car to add into my colllection

Hi guys...bringing up a dead thread, but I have had my 1988 Zermatt Celebration Edition for a little over a year. It is ALL original including no paint work and seats (no rips or tears) and has 48k documented miles. I feel the rarity of the Celebration Edition cars will indeed bring top dollar for NA 944s in the foreseeable future. Here are a few pics of mine...Been toying with the idea of selling as I just don't drive it and am working on the 65 Chevy C10 in the background and am looking for a Cayman.
