Default Success!

As you can see below, I got the fastener out and new one threads right in. I ended up center punching the screw with one of those spring loaded center punches from harbor freight. (If you dont have one, get one now - Item #621). Didnt need that much clearance since a hammer was eliminated. It also helps to keep it centered. I then attempted to drill a pilot hole with the left hand drill kit from HF. #61686 was garbage and not up the task. I switched to "the best" cobalt bits at Home depot (Milwaukee red helix) and they cut through the stuck screw no problem. I gradually increased diameter until I was at 4mm. I switched back to HF61686 and it cleaned out the garbage in the hole. I attempted to tap M6x1.0mm, but the hole was too small. I gradually increased drill dia until the tap was able to grab threads. I ended up getting a right angle drill which was invaluable. I dont think I could have done it with a regular drill despite taking the fans out. I used a razor blade, WD40 & soap stone to try to clean up the mating surface. I looked closer where I damaged the block seal surface with oscillating tool, and think Ill be able to get away with indian head shellac in that area - no need for JB weld.

Thanks to everyone on the forum for your help and guidance.
