I need to use a Splitter in the cigarette Lighter (radar detecter and USB to charge phone) but every one I have found falls out and unplugs, does any one have any ideas other than using Tape around it to make it fit tighter?

tape may not work as one of the contacts (+ or -) is via the outside of the plug to the lighter housing.

The OEM lighter hole is larger than the standard US lighters.That's why things keep falling out. I bought a replacement generic one at Autozone and replaced it. No more problem.

I got a 12V to usb charger adapter off of Amazon for like, $4 and some pocket lint.

If you tap a line behind the dash it will already be fused.
