Default Factory front spacers?

Hi guys. This is really more for my own curiosity than anything else, but did the 944 ever come with front spacers from the factory? My 85.5 with Fuchs has pretty wide spacers up front, but none in the rear. Caught me off guard while I was doing a brake job. It doesn't look like the wheels would clear the calipers without them. I remember reading something about how early cars with steel control arms had spacers in the rear, but not later models.

That's not a spacer, it's the front hub. The brake rotor bolts to the backside of the hub. See pic here;

Well, I feel like an idiot. The picture in my Chilton manual looked different, so I got confused. Thanks for clearing that up.

Meh, no worries. The rotor attachment is different than most other cars.
