Default Fresh from a paint job

Hi Folks, I am more active @ the 997 forums but a few months ago I acquired a 1988 944 Turbo with 64k miles. The car is pretty solid with an almost new interior and just needed preventive maintenance (timing belt, water pump...) and motor mounts so far. The paint was showing it's age and I decided to go with a full repaint... Here are the results...

Ps. Still need to install the front spoiler and paint the center caps

That looks amazing. I love Zermatt Silver, it's my favorite color on a 944.

Post some pics when you take it outside!

solid, great color

why not match the wheels to the body color?

love the phone dials, if someone made an affordable 18" set
I'd put them on my 911

I was at Stuttgart and this car looks like it came from there. Sweet!

Thanks for the compliments... The car looks really great indeed. The paint was done by a friend and he charged me almost 3k. It was almost half of what most reputable body shops were asking... Took almost 3 weeks to get the car back. I personally like the wheels in that color (porsche silver metallic L980).

Fantastic! Just like new.
Remember to get a little jar of touch up paint from your buddy to use down the road. Much easier to plan ahead so it matches.

Did you powder coat the wheels or paint them?

I need to find a new buddy that can do paint and body at that level.
Great deal and absolutely beautiful!!

Also inspiring me to hang onto my 16" phonies and refinish them.
