Default 83 944 wiring question

After looking at the wiring under the dash on the driver's side of my'83, 944 and the wiring diagram, the more confused I get. I would like to know what color wire to look for, for the main bus wire that feeds the fuse boxes. All I see are heavy red wire jumpers going every which way. I would like to wire in an aux fuse box for my new seats to run off of. I have the fuse box (VW 4 position). I just need to wire it in so I can put this seat upgrade to bed. Thanks.

Rich,
Pull the ignition switch plug down and trace the wires.
There is a pair of black wires, one of those goes through the fuse panel at connector A and comes out E to go to the ignition coil.

The big fat red wire on the switch comes from the battery.

I suggest finding the Haynes manual, the wiring diagram in there is much easier to understand.

Thanks Spencer..I have the Haynes and you're right the wiring diagram there is easier than the one in the WSM. I'll check the wires out.
