I don't have a file for any Porsche wheel coasters but I am trying my first Porsche crest coaster right now. I'll post pics if it turns out well.

I had noticed that my printer seemed to print a mirror image of what was being show on the screen but it wasn't a big deal printing plugs and grommets.

My wife finds my backwards Porsche Crest to be amusing.

I have gone through this thread twice but I can't find the files for the plugs for the life of me! Could you please share them? (A friend can probably print them for me as I'm in Europe.)

Cheers!

Sorry about that - I took the files down when I updated the design.

I've shipped a few to Europe.

I work for a major enterprise-level mechanical CAD company and am responsible for their 3D printing strategy. Feel free to let me know if you guys have any questions.

Printing replacement parts that are no longer available or difficult to find is an awesome use-case for additive manufacturing, so reading through this thread has been very instructive.

Pulling this one out of the half-dead bin, but did we ever get anywhere with cup holders???

Yeah... I know..... but it's a major issue with me that our cars don't have these!!!

Default Prototype 944 85.5+ cup holder

Funny you should ask. I just got done drawing this up in CAD the other day. I haven't had a chance to try printing it out yet.

Prototype Porsche 944 Cup holder for 3D printing.

Basically it's designed to clip onto the storage bin in the door.

Again, use at your own risk. I haven't printed or tested these yet and I have no idea if they'll work on early models (before 85.5) as my car is an 86.

I'll see if I can get one of my printer buddies to whip one up for me. I'll report back.

My buddy who's got a working 3D setup right now is taking a look. He also found this:

But I'm not sure what I think of that one...

This started life as a marine drink holder..I use one of these screwed to the hood of my riding lawn mower..so it will definately take the bumps and weird angles. Has any one seen the one on E-Bay that fits into the below radio cubby for 20.00?
