throttle cable adjustment (with cruise), < new throttle cam - nice!
I was planning to replace my throttle response cam today. The below link is the best DIY I found for how to adjust the cable. However, these instructions don't seem to match my configuration. I have an '88 with cruise control. I don't have two lock nuts at the firewall (unless they are on the rear side of the firewall, hidden under the plastic cover?).

See the first photo for the throttle and cruise control cables going through the firewall. Second photo is my existing throttle cam.
So... how do i adjust the throttle cable (since it'll initially have more slack with the new round cam)?
And do i need to adjust the cruise control cable in any way?
Thanks.

After thinking about it, maybe I'll answer my own question. Do I just adjust the threaded part (with 2 nuts) in the right hand photo so that the threaded part moves to the right (rearward)?
I guess i'm still not sure about the cruise control - any adjustment needed there?

Not per any manual but I would disconnect the cruise at the controller, set your throttle cable at the intake with a dab of slack then adjust the cruise control at the control servo.
There is an adjustment on the cruise cable sheathing at the controller. Make the cupped cable end line up with the ball on the lever arm.

I just finished upgrading to the round throttle cam (on my '88 base). And went on a nice long drive. It's amazing how much different the car feels. I know the torque and HP is the same, but the feeling you get is that you've torque available so much sooner. Real nice upgrade (for those that have done this know). If you haven't done this... recommend you do.
