Been working pretty steady after work every day . I am currently replacing the headliner , pics of that coming . I`ll finally be ordering my clutch this coming week , so I can get the car back on the ground . In the mean time , I picked up some reading material , hope it is decent .

Been quiet the past couple weeks . I have been working on replacing the headliner , replacing all the old under carpet padding and laying some fatmat . I replaced the headlights with some H4s and finally got the clutch and timing belt service ordered . I still need to do a tune up but that can wait til it is back on the ground . I have a couple other things in the works as well and trying to move some vw parts and pieces to free up some more cash to pick up a wrecked 87` S model I found not too far from me . Anyhow , a lot should be accomplished by this time next week .

These are what I have now . I found them on ebay , hella knockoffs . They were $40 shipped so I don`t expect them to be awesome or anything but they should be decent .

Clutch finally in and everything back together , fired her up and ran through all the gears . Now I can start on the timing belt and water pump , hopefully get that done in a lot less time than the clutch .

So , I finally tore into the timing belt and water pump lastnight . It has had the belts replaced at some point . Looks like I am going to have to order a couple tools so I can finish up . I trashed a set of 90 degree needle nose trying to get the top balance shaft bolt out using Vans trick . Guess I will be ordering one of those wrenches along with a flywheel lock since I am doing this all by myself , always something else to buy . Guess I will order those later this evening , so this is on hold til then .

Working on putting all the interior back in . In the process of replacing all the interior padding with some new , help get rid of any odd smells from 30 years of spilled whatever and sunroof leaks . I took the carpet to my local car wash and blasted the crap out of it with the soap setting and got most of the spots and stains out , can`t do much for the wear or fading . Going to try and finish the headliner tomorrow after work so I can put the quarter windows back in .
