Default Anyone with a clean 944/951 for the Smoking Tire to Review in SoCal?

Anyone local to SoCal interested in letting Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire drive their 944/951 in the canyons as part of his one take youtube series? Would love to see one of our cars on his show. Submission directions are available on the youtube page.

Love TST and been following all the one-takes. I submitted my e46 m3 when he did a day of reviews here on the east coast, but I didn't make the cut. I'd gladly let him review both of my cars if he ever comes back to the east coast, but I think a lightly modified 951 would be a better car for him to review than my '84 NA.

Plus I'm on the wrong side of the country lol.

That's really cool, I just watched his BMW E30 video. We should get him in a chipped 951 with enhanced boost to showcase these cars with just that one mod.

Now I'm watching his "modified Lotus Elise" video, which is great, and I really like his reactions when he catches up to a (slow) car in front of him. He did it in the E30 video, too. He suddenly goes into this mode of just hoping and wishing and wondering if the car will pull over to the side for him. Hahah! Reminds me of myself. Who hasn't been there...

Matt Farah is definitely one of the better YouTube automotive personalities. I liked his recent review of the Lotus Evora. I would love to see him drive a 944/951!

Plus he's a tall guy like me so I trust him when he says a car is a tight fit. Not that I'm in the market for most of the cars he tests out but there have been one or two that it was good to know. The BMW Z3 M-Coupe comes to mind, as I've always wanted one to use as a daily.

I reached out on Instagram to see if he wanted to check out my LS swapped 944 Turbo. Never heard back so it probably got lost in the masses. Ill try again through YouTube. Where are the submission instructions...or do i just leave a comment and hope they respond?

very cool! I'd be very excited to see some 944 content. They did some filming in New Zealand last year which was cool for us locals to see.

He has everyone create a Wheelwell profile, it's like Facebook for cars, and you upload your car and all it's modifications, pictures, etc and you submit that to him.

I tried back in august when i went to cali, he was booked out like 6 months at the time however so no go. In retrospect that might have been a good thing considering my t-belt broke while i was out there.

I reached out via Facebook and they are interested! Just need to email them specs and some pictures, then they will put me on the schedule.

Not exactly a stock 944 Turbo anymore though.. .

With all due respect, I know I will not be the only one disappointed if the Porsche 944 he chooses has a chevy engine.

I'd love to see someone bring him a clean 951, stock or lightly modded.

@Techno Duck - Matt likes chevy engines, and he likes swaps like that so I bet you make it! I'll be sure to watch it if you do!

IIRC he did an episode with a v8 swapped rx7 and a tuned rotary rx7. He actually proffered the rotary. This could be a perfect time to settle this once and for all. Hybrid vs German.

Edit: found it.
