Maybe Lart is interested in bringing one of his 951's? Surely there are some other SoCal guys in the area also.

Personally i dont get all the hate the engine swaps get or how one internet personality is going to settle which car is better and change the minds of everyone. How many have actually had the chance to ride in or drive a swapped car? Ive been around these cars a long time and I don't view the LS swapped cars as better than a stock 8v n/a, 16v or turbo. Its a different experience though.

That white LS swapped RX7 looks really familiar, i met a guy a few weeks ago at a cars and coffee that looks very similar but it had an LS6 and Fikse wheels. Super clean car like the one from the video. Maybe the same car with a new owner, or just another swapped one in SoCal.

Anyhow a date was proposed in April to do the feature but i wont be able to make it. Hopefully we can figure out something. I am sure he is pretty busy and my work schedule adds to the complexity.

Ive driven a swapped car (nice one too - vt951's) on the street and track - its a blast, love it. That wasn't the intent of my post to knock a swap. Just if the guy is looking for a 944 or 951 to review - get him a 951, preferably a clean / well put together one as I have seen some videos of that guy driving some piles (E36 M3 comes to mind).

Shhhhhh.... kept the awesomeness of the 951 on the down low... till I get mine.... Then blow it the heck up!

I would love to see a head to head of a 951 and LS1 swap. I'm really interested in how the swapped cars handle vs. stock.

Agreed. At least do the V8 conversion in addition, after or head to head. Just not only a V8 one. That would be disappointing.

Perhaps Shawn's would be even better. Similar power and extremely tidy example.

Did he? I hear him singing the praises of both and sitting the fence.

I think Techno's car is an awesome choice for Matt but would love to see another head-to-head comparison with a similarly modded but stock engine 951. It's not a turbo motor you wring out like the Wankel. Where it'll get interesting is the LS conversion doesn't add weight or change the gearbox of a 951...
