I've swapped around my gauges before. Super easy. Also, I'm short, so it gets the tach in front of my face where I want it on a track beater. The speedometer can be over on the side where it's partially blocked by the steering wheel. Ain't care.

Oh man, I'd love to chunk the gauge pod entirely and have a nice digital display in its place...LEDs FTW.

(Might look a little suspect for LeMons, though. )

yeah man, I'm a little tall and I need it in the middle too. You got it to work with the Tach mounted all the way back in the pod? Awesome! I agree on chunking the whole thing. I love what this guy did:

Oh my gracious! yes yes! It's perfect because everything fits in the viewing area through the steering wheel. It's sooo clean

Nuts, I don't have a full picture of it handy, but you can see the middle tach and the hose clamps holding the pod to the dash bar anyway:

It looks like the tach did stick out a bit here, but I know everything sits flush and all the way back now that I had a new speedometer cable put in.

That there is also the finest orange Sharpie I could find in my spares box to say, "shift here or buy me a new engine."

We've since retired the wiper stalk zip-tied to the bar for a simple flip-switch--which was also mounted on a random piece of plastic from out of the toolbox and zip-tied to the bar. Zip ties 'n' hose clamps: because your stock dashboard's just gonna crack apart into sadness down here anyway, silly.

That AiM dash, though...surely LeMons counts that as a budget-exempt "safety item," right? DO WANT.

Has any one ever attempted to use a Corvette/GM HUD display? That AIM dash rig does look neat though.

Every modlue on a GM car communicates over a "CAN" data bus line. It would be next to impossible to do.
