Ok now we're really cook'n. Here is version 2 my updated brake lines. 20 degree banjo fittings and slightly extended length in the rear. Granted the caliper is a monobloc but it has the identical port as the 944 calipers. Fits like a glove:

Looking good! I just read through all 9 pages here, and what a ride it's been! I'm glad you decided to finish this instead of scrapping it. Good call on going with a 968 drivetrain transplant vs. trying to add more power to the stock 2.5L. Can't wait to see the car driving!

Yeah I am glad too. It's been a relatively easy retrofit. Most of the delays have been due to bad or missing parts, changing my mind, waiting on parts from europe, changing my mind again, trying to decide how to do it, pouring over schematics to make sure I don't fry a DME, did I mention changing my mind and the biggest issue was my mom's passing (94 wow!) and my arthritis. Had to take a couple of weeks off. But back to it this weekend Soon we should be doing a

Thanks it's been fun trip with this car. That rig is in New Boston on Bedford Road. He's asking $1200 I believe. If he had the doors I would do it. Where are you located?

Ok so she just had 4 new sneakers installed on 2004 Carrera wheels with 928 GTS spec'd Michelins. Tomorrow she will be parked at my home right next to my 928!

I can't wait to take her out for a spin on the open road. I have to say the 3.0L is amazing. My 2.5L twin cam was peppy, but this engine has a lot of torque. The car pulls great just sprinting in a parking lot. The manual steering takes a bit of getting used to especially with a small steering wheel.

I love cars and motorbikes. Each time I build one I get as excited as a guy getting his first real car. I will be 90 and still feel that way Cars rank right up there with fire and water in order of life importance Seriously though I just love things that go fast especially when I have a part in building them.

It's guys like Herbert James "Burt" Munro (world's fastest Indian) who give inspiration. He was the New Zealand motorcycle racer, famous for setting an under-1,000 cc world record, at Bonneville in 1967 and his record still stands. He was 68 years old riding a 47-year-old machine when he set his last record - and he was a carpenter by trade.

Another guy, Jeff Bezos CEO of Amazon, a farm kid now arguably the most powerful retail magnate in the world.

Building things, modifying, creating - that's what cars are.
