Default Shopping for a wideband setup..

I am looking around for a wideband setup but most of the stuff I find is old information and this is electronics so who knows if 3-4+ year old info is still true and accurate..

Some I have come across aee AEM, AutoMeter, and Innovate for the bigger more solid names and apsx, plx, Zeitronix etc. for a bit less costly devices, but not by that much..

I like the autometer to match my boost/vac gauge but I'm unsure if the less expensive options will serve my purpose just as well..
Of course I want the best/greatest/most bells and whistles and all that but honestly all I need is a gauge to watch to keep an eye on my CIS fueling while raising boost and doing some trial and error K-Jet experimenting making an adjustable WUR, bumping pressures, general fooling around purposes..
If I can make sure I'm keeping it rich and safe it just might not blow up..

What experiences have you had? Are the more expensive ones actually better and worth paying extra for? Any that are the best bang for the buck or ones to stay away from? Is this something that should not be bought used? What do you recommend?

I'm running an AEM UEGO in my early 944 and it's really nice, for ~$150.

http://www.maperformance.com/aem-wid...FZCCaQod_eIAtQ

It has interchangeable faceplates (between AFR and lambda, in black and white), silver and black bezels, and a rotary switch on that back to configure it. It come with a bung and the instruction manual is pretty comprehensive, even gives you tables and graphs.

My only complaint is that my EMS software reads it a little leaner than the gauge indicates. The gauge is very accurate, but if you ever go to a standalone EMS, you may have to tune in open loop mode.

I'd make sure to do some research first. I had nothing but problems with my LC-1 and threw it away. Have had 3 or 4 AEM UEGO's and they've been great for the same price range.

The title says LC-1, but it really comes with an LC-2. Recommended by a someone's whose opinion I trust.

That's good, hopefully they improved it.

The guy that ALOT of people in the east use for porsche chip tuning recommended this:

http://www.plxdevices.com/PLX-Wideba...uges-s/125.htm

I got it installed this year. He said it had a good sensor and was something he thought was good for the price and reasonable quality.

Errr. cant say i actually look at it much though.

I have th Zeitronix ZT2 with LCD display. The sensor is meant to be very good but I like it for the data logging and because I can have other info displayed.

I'm also using PLX devices. Good luck for about a year. No free air calibration. Good friend of mine has had success with the autometer wideband. I have purchased other innovate technology products in the past, and they were awful. Not willing to gamble on them again myself.

After researching the different AFR systems and consulting with my turbo rebuilder, I decided on the Innovate MXT-L system for my turbo 951. Features, instructions and price all made for a positive candidate. Pulled the entire exhaust system aft of the turbo downpipe as a complete unit to have the WB bung drilled and installed. Installed the gauge and the boost gauge in a Lindsey Racing A pillar gauge pod (the hard part) and now I'm finished. Routed the main cable through the bulkhead in front of the battery and then through the firewall directly aft of that with a 3/4" hole and a cut grommet in each, filled with black RTV sealant. Pulled the instrument cluster to help guide the cable to the A pillar.
