Hatch reseal in NJ or used hatch
I have the dreaded hatch delam issue.
Does anyone know a person that can reseal the hatch in North Jersey/Metro NY? Or does anyone have a good hatch for sale in or near North Jersey/Metro NY

What year and type of 944 do you have? I have an 89 parts car with a nice hatch, with wing and struts on it.. What parts are you talking about becoming delaminated? I'll check mine..I live in southern NH. perhaps I can save you some time and $$. Thanks, Tiger03447

the glass
the glass is separating from the farme which
a) creates the dreaded exhaust smell in the cabin (the same as if you had a bad rear hatch seal) and
b) is rattling like crazy especially when you hit a bump

I'm in the same boat.
A local Porsche boneyard ("parts adoption center") suggested a small glass shop who, it was thought, had experience with the hatch delam.
I showed it to the glass tech, and he said that it might be possible to reseal the leading upper edge while on the car. But that he wouldn't be taking this hatch off the car. He had seen too many break being pulled off, and the owner had to pay over two grand on a 951, once upon a time. So, we will see what a glass pro can do with just trim removal and atristry.
All of the donor cars I have seen already have bodged, poorly done reseals. My glass is in good shape, with defrost and wiper. So, I might as well try to keep it as long as possible. For now, it has electrical tape along the seal, and only leaves the garage on sunny days.
