Default 944 v8, Power Steering

Hello. I'm trying to determine what bracket people are using with their ls1 conversions. I personally have an lm7 thats been converted with the f-body components except for one piece that I realized is different, the power steering/alternator bracket. The bracket that I have places the alternator up high rather than below the power steering reservoir. I'm looking for something that does this. I did some looking and I see references to the bracket but I can't seem to locate the actual GM/Chevy part # associated with the bracket I need so that I can purchase it. So if anyone happens to have that handy, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks

Sounds like you have a Corvette drive bracket.

Most of us are using the f-body power steering pump and alternator bracket.

did you just use another 944 headlight motor to delete the linkage bar?

Looks like it. And the extra motor is probably still lighter than that big-*** bar.

Use all the F body brackets. The corvette brackets won't work. Yes, that's a drivers side 914 head light motor. I use the same thing to delete the headlight bar...

The Vette brackets do fit actually but require relocating the expansion tank. A local friend of mine did the swap using a crate LS3 that had the Vette brackets. He is using a custom made expansion tank mounted to the firewall. Probably more trouble than its worth.. just get the f-body brackets

And yes i am using a 914 drivers side headlight motor to eliminate the headlight bar. See the below links for a write up on how i got it to work..
