I've been married to my wife for 32 years. Tried that one on her and she just looked at me like I was some kind of idiot.
It's a 30 year old car. Changing the wheels wont improve it. Just a suggestion from life experience.
Now if they were 18"s I buy 'em in a heartbeat... I should mention I have 17" Turbo Twists on my '89 and they're fantastic. If I didn't already own a set I'd buy yours. That's a great deal. GLWYS.
BTW, I'm putting 225/45/17s on the front and 255/40/17s on the rear of mine. Sumitomo makes them in that size, I think Yokohama may too. It's a lot of rubber, not expensive and the wheels handle it. To frost the cake, those sizes are almost an exact match for the speedometer/odometer.
Which is all to say I think this would be a most excellent upgrade. Another thing to consider is they vent air better than the stock 16's. Your brakes will thank you.

Great deal! I just picked up a late offset set of these sans tires for $600. Yours are nicer color though (mine are more greyish). And they are lighter than I thought they would be for aftermarket wheels. GLWS!!!
PS - I had to spend the better part of a summer out at Las Cruces once. More power to you...

Keith I have no idea why I go to great lengths to make off color jokes about 17 and 18s when you don't even bother to put a smiley face on the quote!
Served you well for three years indeed... Dog.

I'm gonna be in az next month, we should have a little 944 meet up, I could probably get 5 or 6 people to show with theirs. Maybe pavilions car show or something.
Edit: oh wait, what's this "951 RIP" in your sig?

Bump, surprised there's no interest... Commented in a wheel thread a few months back saying I had a set I'll be selling this spring - people were all over me. Guess it's the wrong season for wheels!
