cdr-220? personally i went with a pioneer, it doesn't look out of place once i turn the backlight orange and i got bluetooth funtionality. It really makes things easier and i don't have an aux in cable running around the cabin.

i do to have a pioneer with a USB cable on the back to come the glove box in the middle for my Ipod, but I was thinking that a Porsche one would look nice....
I have saw the new one Porsche came out with but it is way to expensive.
So I was wondering if any of you had any experience.
thank you

So if you have a modern Pioneer deck what are you looking for different?
Not understanding you. I'm guessing English is a second language for you perhaps.

In the last 944 I sold, it had a Blaupunkt San Francisco 300 with a plug in the back for connecting a cable for the ipod, but also mpt and ipod jacks in the front. I bought the separate cable from Crutchfield, I think, that plugged in the back and ran the cable into the glove box. The arrangement allowed me to charge the ipod as well.

Kenwood $59.99 from bestbuy shipped
Bought a brand new Kenwood KMM-BT308U Receiver for my 944T for $59.99 shipped, 1 year warranty:
This replaced my 18 year old blaupunkt cd player that no longer worked. I really like the fact that this doesn't have a cd player inside of it, and it works perfect for streaming Pandora, or any Bluetooth music I have on my smartphone.
The unit is a multimedia receiver, meaning NO cd player, and since I will never use cd's again, the receiver is only half as deep as normal 1 din cd players.
This in turn provides ample space to install the receiver and all of the factory wires in the back of the stereo without issue.
So now I have bluetooth streaming music, and hands-free phone usage in my 27 year old car, which makes it that much more enjoyable while driving now.

Any Becker wil look at home in Porsche. I have monza and it looks like it came with it. + it has a top notch double fm tuner that automatically finds and lists available radio stations. No annoying freq. scans.

well I bought it from here:http://www.swstereo.com/stdetail.php?prodID=16
They make a change to the LCD as putting a stock CDR220 in a 944 will be almost unreadable due to the angle difference between the 2 cars.
Aux input is just the 3.5mm headphone jack input (from the back of the stereo yes)

I have a Blaupunkt 320 San Francisco in my old Mercedes, and it fits in perfectly. I think it would look alright in the Porsche, but the CDR-220 or that Becker Monza above would look better.
Pretty much any single-DIN head unit will fit in the 944, so just go with whatever you like. Many head units these days have customizable lighting/colors. And I'd say pay the extra $20 to get the version with bluetooth (if possible).
