The horror.
Why let such decent looking cars die a slow and painful death..

Huh, I've never heard of this yard. Is it a pick a part/self-service yard? Is it worth checking out?

That 924S is in nicer shape than either of the ones I have that I am trying to combine into 1...too bad Crazy Ray's won't sell me whole cars (I've asked before and they always say no )

What a damn cryin' shame

There is a 944 dismantler in Hagerstown that always has stuff on craigslist at stupid prices. I suspect these are his shells. Was there anything worthwhile in any of them?

Stupid high. Never seen anything he listed as tempting.

I'd rather not support his endeavors. He scraps plenty of cars that could have been restored, he only keeps whole the ones that are too rough to sell parts off of.

I was really focused on finding the 928s in the yard (and old Pontiacs). I need to go back when the weeds die down and I'll take some better pictures of the 924s and 944s.

I pulled out a good bit of the interior on the 924S. Dash (wasn't too terrible, certainly much better than mine), door panels, rear side carpets, center console, aftermarket dash cap, and some odds and ends. The carpets were in quite good shape, if I hadn't run out of time I would have grabbed the front and rear floor carpets. The rear script seats were also in pretty great shape. I already unbolted the top and unclipped the bottom, so they are ripe for the taking.

It's really a shame that the car was in the junkyard. The interior was quite good, I'd guess a 60k mile car.

P.S. - A couple rows away I saw an Opel GT rusting away. A seriously sexy car you don't see everyday.
