Did someone n/a their turbo?
I thought I saw a thread here in the last year where someone made their 951 run as an NA. I tried a whole bunch of search terms and looked back 1 year but couldn't find it.
If someone could link me to the thread, I'd appreciate it.

The 951 I just bought makes no boost at all and runs just fine. I was kinda surprised that it doesn't seem to notice or care that it's not making boost. Strange.
Not sure if that's helpful, but thought I would share.

Well if I can't find the thread, I was going to use my experience and logic to do it. My black 951 has been sitting for 3 years waiting for me to finish the engine rebuild. I have such a long way to go. In order to bring the finish line nearer to me, I thought I'd finish it as an NA first. Especially since I still need to decide on a whole bunch of 951-related parts like a turbo, wastegate, etc. If I built the 951 longblock then attached 944 accessories, manifolds, etc, I think it would work. I have all the 944 parts.
951 longblock, bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, etc.
951 computers and harness
944 intake manifold and tubing
944 coolant tank, WP block-off plate, and all hoses
944 exhaust manifold and exhaust system
cap the turbo oil feed on the upper BS housing with a plug bolt from an NA
machine a block off plate for the turbo oil drain on the motor mount bracket
what else?
and would this work?
And once it's done and drivable, I'll be more motivated to finish the rest of the project.

I can't believe you couldn't find it - the search here works so well.
