[Video] would you say this is a bad AFM, or the DME?
Rogue's NA Tune is shipping soon and I wanted to test my late DME to verify that it's in good shape. Since I have an early car, I also installed a late AFM I've had sitting around (because late DMEs need late AFMs).
As you can see in the video, it runs like garbage. It barely holds an idle, and I wouldn't dare drive it like this. To me, it really smelled like a bad AFM, although the AFM was pulled from a running car. I just want to get feedback on which of the two is the likely culprit - the early DME and AFM work flawlessly so it's definitely one of the two.
My understanding is that a good DME is needed to start the car (which means the DME is good). Is there any probability that a portion of the DME failed that would allow the car to start, but just run like crap? I'm hoping it's just the AFM, because the MAF will replace it anyway.
Alternative link for video.
