Question Rebuilding AFM (or going MAF) - any recommendations?

looks like i may need a rebuild of my AFM and i'm trying to determine the cost difference between a rebuild [of the AFM] and moving to an MAF. i just finished all the vacuum lines, ISV, venturi delete, ICV, TB rebuild, etc., so i don't want to replace/redo any of those components at this time. i had hoped to keep costs down and just retain the AFM, but now i'm faced with that rebuild or the added expense of an MAF system that would plug-n-play. any thoughts and/or recommendations would be appreciated.

I would go with Rogue Tuning MAF.
Investment well spent IMO.

The MAF is worth every penny and really isn't THAT much more than having an AFM rebuilt and is cheaper than buying a Reman unit.
If you can drive a car with a MAF and then get back into one with the AFM you will feel like its a whole different engine.

I had to run with the AFM for a while after having the NA tune for smog and stuff and had to sort of re-learn how to drive the car because the MAF opens it up so much...

Last I heard, Josh over at Rogue Tuning stopped taking orders temporarily. I ordered my kit within a few days of that happening and haven't really heard much on the status...

do yourself one better and don't get a MAF OR rebuild the AFM..go stand alone and never look back. Megasquirt is cheap, works beautifully, and is simple to set up and tune. It was the best decision I ever made for the car.

No response on email inquiries, either. All the MAF-NA kits show "not in stock".

Not everyone has the time, or desire to convert their vehicles to stand-alone. For many, systems that require making an entire wiring harness, new sensors, trigger-wheels, full-tuning, etc. is an unreasonable path...

Sunday the 7th, my Wife delivered our baby-boy...
Needless to say, I've been a bit busy and pre-occupied.

Michael, I have your kit here and will be shipping ASAP.
As soon as I am caught-up on current orders, I will be opening back up the website order page.

Congratulations! Is it your first?
I know it is a very exiting time. My wife and I had our first child 2 months ago, a baby girl.

Sorry for the OT.

I am waiting on Rogue Tuning to release his/their MAF for the S2.

The owner just had his first child so we have to be patient until he gets back in R&D mode

Congrats on your first child, Josh from Rogue Tuning!
