PS Belt Tensioner ???
Tensioned the belts today, and the PS belt tensioner is pretty close to the last threads. Normal? Where else can I adjust the tension? I don't like it that close to the end.
TIA

Brand new belt. That's why I'm puzzled. Changed both belts labor day. That's when i learned the big tensioner was snapped.
We'll check the package to see it is 750.

Pretty sure it was a 950 that i put on it when i did the belts, that said i did feel like it was a bit big when i put it on, its what the book called for though. I know that tensioner was good then!

chris,
Find the shift boot please. a few more DEs and then we install all the other parts I accumulated over the summer.
Where did you think the PS was leaking from? I changed the compression washers on the banjo bolt by the oil pan. I still have a little fluid dripping on the part of the rack where the hoses meet.
That banjo bolt is where I thought the rack was leaking from. It seems the fluid was getting on the serpentine belt - causing the squeak (cant figure out how it moved from the bolt to the belt, but when we added fluid the belt got noisy). That's why I decided to change the belts when I changed the washers, and found the larger tensioner was broken at the heim joint. We installed the tensioner Spenser sold me this weekend and when tightening the PS belt noticed it was near the end of the tensioner threads. It works, but... Anyone have a picture of their tensioner? Maybe it's normal.
Thanks.

PM me your address and ill send it out with the plastic collar. I was sure that it was leaking at the banjo alone, the rack is an autozone rebuild and the line were new in 2010 (did them as a set) my thought was that the copper washer was the cause.
