CV joints - reuse or get new?
This is my first attempt at taking CV boots/joints apart for repair and or replacement. (The boots were torn.) It's a messy job, but really pretty straight-forward.
That said, I was hoping for some advice on how to proceed. I have the joints apart and cleaned up and they do show some signs of wear, but certainly no pitting in the surfaces. The ball bearings appear to be pretty much perfect. AFAIK, the joints are original to the car and therefore have about 178K on them.
Given the appearance in the attached photo, would you recommend re-packing and re-using these joints, or go with new? I am trying to be budget conscious, but this is also a car I take to the track.
Any/all advice would be greatly appreciated!

Those look to be in great condition. I would re-use them for sure. Probably of better materials and manufacture than the China axles available now. Yes to flipping them around also.

Thank you!
Sounds like flipping them and making sure they are well-greased is the way to go.

If the areas indicated by the arrows show actual pitting - i.e. material is missing from the surface - then replace them. Otherwise, flip them - not side-to-side, but in-board/out-board on the same side.

Thank you, Van. I will check the parts again carefully, and decide from there.
