There must be a collector out there that needs this Rinspeed R69, I bet it will draw some attention if it is so rare. Funny comment on progress as they are saying it has only 300hp? And $160K in 1986 dollars.. wow..they are also selling this car that I think I would rather be caught driving.....

The good news is they claim it's the only R69 known to exist in the US, the bad news is it exists....

On a side note, I am a bit impressed with the seats and steering wheel.... all those buttons.

True. But does your typewriter have a "SEEK BALL" key?

That is not the only R69 in the US, there are two others a white one and a black one.

Yessir, the Recaro model C. They still go for 2k+ in mint condition. I'd love a set.

Looks like you could control a norad missile launch between the seat and steering wheel controls!

if you've ever seen some of Rinspeed's other creations, this one is actually on the tame side as far as actual outcome and finished product.

All-red tail lights and a modest hoop wing might salvage the currently terrible design by making it a little like a boxy 959 flat nose. Aside from that... it's a 10k mile 930 in need of body resto and paint.

But thanks for posting, I've never seen one before!
