Thanks guys - it really makes it worth the effort everytime someone pays a compliment!!! - but I still think Ian's red 951 with grey cups and splitter is THE best photo in this thread so far.
Also, no matter HOW many photos I take, it seems like only 1 out of every 50 turn out to be really good. the otehr 49 are just mediocre.
Maybe if I keep shooting, those numbers will get better...
Randy, you wanna take some pics tomorrow? I'm not working...

Hey Rich - perfect timing! Sure thing tomorrow looks really good
I was thinking up Cyrpress - those hairpin turns look pretty good for the 951's!
Let me know the time. Maybe we can catch lunch somewhere

Since there aren't a lot of blue cars around I'll jump in here. This was taken the day after I got the car home from Colorado. The pinstripe is gone and the centercap crests have been painted since the pic was taken. I haven't had time to get more pics, but I'll get around to it.

I thought that picture would be popular!!!
That is moments before the rev limiter is reached. I don't know about the S2 motor, but the S will hit just over 7,000. My car is 100% stock motor wise.
See the other pictures, I had the camera on hand during the dyno run.
Also notice my temp gage.........she threw a rod bearing less than a month later. Only 150 miles between the mileage on the dyno run and when the bearing blew. I think the temp being in the red had something to do with that. Oh well........As you can see in the pics, my dismantled motor.

This is why the 17" wheels are now on the 928. I wish I could find another set of those. Some weird Japanese brand I can't remember the name of, nothing "mainstream"
Oh well, my crank is getting drilled, putting a baffle in the oil pan, and adding an acu-sump. I'm thinking about a supercharger for the 944 but a friend of mine is running 26psi through a 928 so an S4 might replace both of my porsche's in the next couple of years.

Hacker, I grenaded my "S" motor via a rod bearing also! I had to rev the thing so high to make decent power that I probably spent more time above 6k than below. The #2 rod and pistion exited the car at about 65mph on the 405 freeway here in CA.

Man... this thread just reminds me of exactly *how* much work I have ahead of me. Engine is finally in perfect running order, but I need Mary Kay to come in and give the ol' girl a facelift, including the color... last owner went to FAMU... Rattler Green... ew...
BTW- I got rid of those awful 16" BBS rims and put on 17" 993 rims... MUCH improved.
