Default Question about radiators

TMy radiator sprung a leak. Took it out and put some water in it and it comes out of the seam between the metal and the plastic, so I am looking for a new one. I am thinking of just getting an aluminum one, and found this one

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALL-ALUMINUM...772bdd&vxp=mtr

Any advise on getting a new radiator or is there a reason why I should not get an aluminum one? I have never messed with a radiator before....

Thanks!

No reason for or against it. Plastic tanks are the industry norm and the original radiator lasted 25 years with it, so it's safe to say it'll work well now.

Spend the money on a new one, don't cheap out using used. Ask me how I know.

I was able to stop mine from leaking by re-crimping the aluminum tabs that hold the plastic end tanks on.

I just bought these same radiator for my 87 944na. Awesome radiator. Don't buy the one with the electric fans. Fans suck and mounting bracket sucks. Doesn't include hardware to mount fan to radiator and the threads are different then the ones that are used on the fan from factory. Just make sure not to use hardware that is to long or you will puncture one of the cores and be SOL.
