Default New to porsche and this site. 87 944 Lots of pics

Hi, New to this forum so id thought id introduce my self and give a little info.
I recently traded my 90' jeep Cherokee 4x4 with longtravel that i built, for an 1987 porsche 944 here is the c-list ad http://bakersfield.craigslist.org/cto/4311387503.html

it needs some body work and some TLC but thats what i love doing.

The previous owner did allot of work and i have all the receipts to show it. before my jeep I had an 87' pontiac fiero lowerd on eibachs and I thought that car handled good for the year it was made. but when i got this porsche...WOW. It is on koni c/o's though. so i cant say much for how they handle stock but i cant imagine its bad at all.

this car came with allot of extra parts. unfortunately the guy semi gutted it, but i can live with that. I have owned and drivin many cars. camaros..corvettes..mustangs..fieros..obviously you can tell im an american car guy, but the germans really knew what they were doing when they designed this. the 50/50 weights distribution is amazing. anyways here are some pics.

I also have some chrome clubsport wheels that came with it that im trying to sell.
http://santamaria.craigslist.org/pts/4322307528.html

and a short shifter maybe some other parts..i gotta look through them. let me know what you think!

By all means, get the short shifter from "only944.com". It'll make you smile a mile when you install it. It's easy to install, only about $80 and it's outstanding. Everyone who gets it, loves it. Great deal on the car. That road sign in the pic looks like a "challenge" to me.

For the purposes of this transaction, Jeep was worth $800, apparently.

Porscheinthe805, welcome. You have done quite well even if the car didn't run. There's parts there that are worth more than what you paid.

don't do the body work.

just get that thing running tip top. and keep it in the zone until it goes full Money Pit Motors Corp on you....

we had a 924 a few years ago with a blend of body panels in Guards Red and extremely faded Guard's Pink

and a few dents.... then added these stunning wheels to really make for a unique look.

so, then what does he go and do?

btw, can anyone identify the wheels?

I was looking at the title of the add and I guess he put $400 by accident. At the bottom is does in fact say $4000.
