Default Euromotorspeed stone chip guards results

Merry Christmas!

I recently bought and applied these replacement stone chip guards - my old cracked factory ones weren't doing it for me.

Here are the ones I bought: link

Overall, I'm satisfied with the product given the price. They are the exact size of the factory guards, which was nice. The material didn't feel too cheap, but at the same time, it was much thinner than I anticipated. Time will tell. I'll update this thread if any problems develop

Here are some pics of the process, and what it ended up looking like. I'll be doing the other stone chip guards shortly (the skinny slices behind the wheel arches).

Looking good! It really works with the wheels. I especially like the view from the front corner.

I contacted Euro Motorspeed about possibly making the other stone chip guards (the ones behind the arches) and they said they'll probably have them in a few weeks. I'll probably buy them and post here.

It looks good. So you needed a heat gun?

I think the black looks pretty good on guards red, especially with black Fuchs.

I've peeled them off before but never installed any. A heat gun was needed (or hair dryer), and some mild solvent for the adhesive residue that I forgot the name of.

Just saw this thread Michael, I guess i'll get to see how they look in person this weekend. They look awesome in the pics though, good enough that it makes me definitely want to get a set once I get megasquirt sorted and start driving the car again! Good job!

If anyone is interested I've done quite a few sets for members here in clear, matte black or any combo. The entire set, wheel wells & quarter panel $39.00 shipped.

Well, I said I would update this thread if anything developed.

The driver's side guard has a corner coming off, and short of buying some special vinyl adhesive, it isn't wanting to re-stick. I think this is because I didn't get all of old adhesive off from the old guards - I figured they would stick regardless. Guess I was wrong.

Which means I'll probably buy aljolyn's set, which is nice because it also has the slivers behind the wheel arches.

+1...actually +2 I have used Aljolyn's rock guards on two of my 944's.

Make sure before you install anything that the old ones and any adhesive are completely removed.

Alrighty... I heard back from Euromotorspeed about the problem I was having with the driver's side guard sticking, and they promptly offered to ship a replacement set as well as include some of the wheel arch guards if I could send some pictures back of the product installed (new product for them, I think I'm getting one of the first sets).

The customer service and confidence in their products are excellent, I would not hesitate to do business with Euromotorspeed again.

With that said, I ordered a set from aljolyn a few days ago, which means I'll have two sets. I have one 944

PM me if you want a full set for cheap, and if you could take detailed pictures of everything and send them back to me. Preferably a light colored 944.
EDIT: sale pending. Will update thread if that doesn't work out for whatever reason.

HICKS, still waiting on the other set to arrive... I'll let you know when it's here.

Anyway, I got aljolyn's set and have installed the two main guards - hopefully I can get the rest done later today. I made sure to get 100% of the old adhesive off this time, and they went on fine.

Album: http://imgur.com/a/ynfXR (will update this post with more pics when the other guards are on)
