Default whats up with my tbelt roller?? Pics

I replaced my timing belt and water pump a couple weeks ago. Water pump I got from dealer it was a rebuild and is already leaking from the weep hole I think.

The rollers and belts were from paragon. The belt is not over tensioned and no strange noises. The roller looks like the black pain on it has come off and it's metal underneath??? i've replaced belts many times and i'm 99% sure these rollers were just black plastic.

also look at the pic looks like grease is coming out of the roller.

i'm now worried these may be defective parts and my belt tensioner may also be defective.

that is normal, the excess grease is coming out - just says the factory put a little too much grease in the roller

Ok thanks, but what about the black worn off the roller and it being shiny like that, i've never had that happen before on other rollers even after 3 years.

if it is painted, the paint will wear off in the contact area - scrape at the unworn area and see if it is in fact painted or if that brown color is coolant or oil or something else

Never seen anything like that, and I have bags full of old 944 rollers.

^yeah that's why i'm concerned. all my previous rollers look like they are just black plastic no "paint" to scrape of them. i'm probably going to replace this roller, but i'm worried about the tensioner too now.
