Default late gauge cluster problems

I am having problems with my late gauge cluster every gauge works fine besides the center two big ones( The tach and the speedo/ odometer as well as the boost gauge is kindy funky) The tach doesnt move at all. The speedo jumps a bit but doesnt show the right speed. I need these to work as I am breaking in a new motor. I dont know if it worked before hand but I did have the cluster apart to replace the odometer gear and have taken other clusters apart with great success so I know what I am doing. just weird. Not sure its its a grounding problem or what. any and all help is appreciated. I have done some searching but havent found quite what im looking for.

Yeah, it could well be the grounds. Also, the connectors on the back of the guage clusters may need to be cleaned.

Yeah it does, usually no tach bounce while cranking means the ref sensor is out of commission.
