Default WTB: rust free battery tray

A long shot maybe, but do you have a late model chassis you could cut the battery tray area from?

PM me! (before cutting anything ). Thanks.

EDIT: Got it all fixed up in the end: https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...ch-area-2.html

I have an 89 NA shell ready to go to scrap. Sawzawing out a battery box is honestly not my favorite thing to do in the world though. Give me a ring and maybe we can work something out.

I am so sorry dude. But you have to admit its funny to see your thread concerning checking your battery tray just below this one. Seriously though good look finding one. Though most would advise just rust converting what's in there and welding in a plate of steel.

Haha no worries...it is funny. Now if you see a thread later tonight that says "FS: 944 Turbo. Good runner. Has huge hole where battery tray should be."...then please dont laugh coz I will be dead serious

Haven't looked in a while but don't they list a battery tray in PET? They have virtually all the body parts listed with part #'s last time I looked. Maybe you can get a new one from the dealer if they are still available.

It looks like an integral part of the body to me. I searched for them and found only the same eBay link (actually that guy has 2 for sale) but then the name turns up a few interesting hits on the forums that gave me pause.

Nah don't do that. Besides if you try it we will gang up and protest and make sure no one buys it so you will be forced to fix it. Tough love I know, but one day you would thank us.

I admit I am interested to see a battery tray swap here, first time for me.

I did the por15 fix and it has been waterproof since. Purchased a buffet of products like Fiberglas, tube of something gooey, metal cleaners and the paint, and it worked well
