What Struts fit 1986 Turbo Spindles
I am upgrading my 1986 N/A to 1986 Turbo brakes and have a few questions.
The parts I have from the 1986 Turbo are the Calipers, spindles, hubs, and rotors.
From what I understand I will need struts because the 1986 N/A strut will not fit the turbo spindle.
I am getting some conflicting info on what struts fit the 1986 Turbo spindle. Will any 86+ strut fit or do I need one from a 1986 951?

+1 if you use na struts you will need 87 or later or any turbo strut.
Don't forget you also need all four rotor shields, the brake bias valve in the brake reservior, caliper spacers at the rear, turbo front flexible brake lines and the two hard brake lines to the calipers at the rear, they are different in PET though I heard the na can be made to work. Oh, and at least 16" wheels but again I heard that 15" Phonies will work.

Nope, 944na's at least to 86 had no bias valving for the brakes. The caliper pistons were sized to provide the correct f&r bias.
Starting on the 86T, a bias valve was fitted to the brake reservoir to control f&r bias to the four piston calipers. Various bias valves were fitted to the various models 87+ depending on the calipers used.

Good to know. Is there a list of the bias valves. I'm putting turbo front and rear brakes on my 89 n/a. I haven't heard of it causing a problem.
Boredin: i've got an 86 turbo i'm parting. Let me know if you want the master cyl.
