LS1 968 on ebay

You should talk to Doc he has a car done by Eric with the hydroboost, it is a mustang unit. I am going with dual master cylinders. Not to take thread too far off track, I think I know who that 968 belongs to.

Keep in mind that an LM4 is identical to the LM7 except for it's alloy block (both have dished pistons). However the L33 has different heads and flat-top pistons to bump the CR, so a premium fuel has to be used. The 4.8 and 5.3 engines were used in the trucks for fuel ecomomy. I went thru the trouble to adapt the 5.3 injectors (25lb) on the lower profile LS1 intake so the truck ECM kept it's stock tune. Some other LM7 swapped camaros with T56 trannys are reporting low 30's mpg's as well, all depends on how heavy your foot gets.....

Can't wait to see the top speed vid of your 968 LS3....
There is another hybrider doing a 4.8L truck motor with 951 trans/NA 5th and I'll be watching his mpg report. May be awhile because once you go V8, it's hard to maintain the speed limit.

I'm happy with my hydroboost setup. I understand BMW makes one as well that some have swapped in, but the Ford part is readily available, cheap and easy to replace it needed. The only complication is that it overboosted the rear brakes, which led to some very exciting times on the track.
Once I installed an adjustable rear proportioning valve, all was well.
I don't think I'd be happy with manually boosted brakes on the track, just too much effort.
You can also get the electrically boosted master cylinder, which yields a very clean installation. Royce (with the summer yellow 951) is using it and I think he's happy with it.

i was in contact with the seller, Brian, about doing a private sale after the auction ended, and picking up the car early next week, my friend Ali needed about 5 grand which i was going to loan him so he could get the car.
minutes before the auction ended, someone came in and bought the car. Brian emailed me that the buyer already paid a deposit.
this is the best 968 that has ever been sold on Auto Trader, Cars.com, Ebay, Rennlist or Craigslist, in the past 100 years.
f_cking crap.

If that car was a great deal then I expect a conversion must cost around $15K plus the car, minus the value of the stock motor. Or about $20K all told.

yes, i suppose with an LS1 rebuild you can get it done for that. and his was in that category.
but the swap was exstensive. easily, closer to $20 K.
