Thanks Doc. Ill have the wheels tomorrow or Friday, and Ill take pics of the wheel, the inside of the wheel, and the mounts/what I think is a spacer, and calipers, and Ill throw them up.

Thanks again so much. Im letting the clear coat on my wheels set about 2 weeks before putting tires on, so, that should be plenty of time to figure this out. If youa re running 275s, I have to assume that 225s would be ok....probably even with a 10mm spacer.

Thank you too goatfarmerdave. It sounds like there is plenty of room in the wells for 225s. Ill post some pics of my setup tomorrow, just to make sure, before ordering anything!

Thanks gentleman for all your help.

Porschedoc, as requested, here are some photos. I have not received the wheels yet. Went to get them, but second coat of clear was not yet applied. Ill get them friday. In the mean time, attached are photos of the the rear (sans wheel) with calipers, front sans wheel, with calipers...you can see there is a different, however, now, I dont think there is a spacer....it looks like a spacer, but its different because the lug screws are attached to the "spacer", or what I thought was a spacer.

Also attached is a picture of the original sales purchase... you can see it lists 7x16 and 8x16 wheels.

Again, I would prefer to do the 225/50 front, 245/45 setup, I just want to make sure it will be fine. AND I JUST FINISHED THE CALIPERS MYSELF SO DONT KNOCK MY WORK LOL!!!! MY FIRST DYI PROJECT!

What you are calling a "spacer" is actually the factory wheel hub. There is no spacer present.

Everything in your photos appears OE.

+1 that is a stock 86 951 set-up, there is no "spacer" there. On the wheels your car came with cast wheels so are you sure the forged 16in fuchs wheels you bought for it came from another 951? If they were off a 911 they will not clear the front calipers.

I am sure these clear because these are the wheels that came on the car when my dad and I bought it in 1996...whether they are the wheels that came on the car from the factory I don't know, but, the Fuchs are just being refinished.

Good to know, so, this is OE, ans a 225 will run fine.

Thank you to everyone who looked, replied, and helped me out!
