My take is...the bearings, rings, and camshaft parts were first laid out on paper in 1971 with the beginnings of the 928...synthetic oil was only even made for airplanes back then, not road cars. Standard Oil was still in business and the dinosaurs ruled the earth...

it was a bit chilly last night.
