Default Early 944/1 Clutch wear

Clutch started to chatter a bit in 1st when starting from a dead stop. Doesn't slip. At least not from what I can tell.

Followed clarks garage on the whole maintenance check. I'm at 1-1/4" as far as the wear goes which appears to be more than 34mm (as suggested to replace at) am I near death here?

Also, is the 16 hours of labor /accurate/ if I'm using a lift to do the job? Or is that more if I'm laying on my back in severe pain cussing at the car labor hours.

Thinking I'm going to order a clutch kit and do the TT while I'm at it and just get it out of the way. Tips, info, hints and overall advice for those who have done it would be most appreciated.

I just finished a clutch replacement and took the lying on your back cussing approach. I didn't have access to a lift.

It basically took me the good part of a day to get to the clutch, then about 12 hours to put everything back. That includes breaks and various problems along the way. One of the clutch housing bolts is a real PITA to get off and on. Also the sensors can be difficult to remove as well. One pulled right out, one took about 2 hours to remove.

This was my first "major" job on my 85/1, and it certainly taught me a lot. Next time I think I could do it in half the time (one full day). Lift would certainly make things go much faster/better.
