Congrats on the well sorted LS-968 Alan. I'll be supplying the conversion parts for another member that is on the look-out for a nice 968 to do surgery to. I will be making a set of 968 chromoly axles now that I have dimensions as well. Carry on with the smack talk, its well deserved lol.

Chomping at the bit to get back under this car. I keep finding more things to add to my to-do list. If you saw the underside of my car, you'd understand where it comes from and why Allen trusts me with his baby.

Allen is right, I'm heading into Hollywood at 4:00 AM for my new Bi-Ventricular pacer. Guessing that you can now say that I'm Bi at heart.

I gotta run, but want to show you what my bench usually looks like when I'm working on my car. It's good to have friends in low places.

I survived the surgery, but came away with two big holes in my chest instead of one. Give me a couple more days and I'll get this party started.

Speaking of party.....Anyone willing to come over and wrench for me? I'll feed you the best BBQ in town and all you have to do is follow my directions and tolerate my sarcasm. Takers? Anyone? I'm in Rancho Cucamonga....Alta Loma, specifically.

CV joints are rebuilt. They looked good.

Front swaybar is MIA.

Finally, after weeks of waiting for my chest to mend, we can finally say that the rear end is back together.

* New rear wheel bearings
* New C/V boots
* Rebuilt C/V joints
* New C/V joint bolts
* New Weltmeister rear sway bar
* New Adjustable rear Koni shocks
* New "milled" Texstar rear pads
* Painted rear calipers
* New rear soft brake lines w/clips
* New "suicide" starter switch
* Clean engine bay

You know what's funny?......I spend 25-30 hours under Allen's car and he wants me to take pictures of the F'ing engine.

How does one double nut the axles when they are held on with bolts?

I do have safety wire, but drilling out the bolts always proves to be beyond my ability. (See my 930 brakes in my avatar....Rotor hats were gonna get wired. )
Stage 8 sells a set of locking cv axle bolts for the car (m8 1.25 x 50mm) and they just started selling them plated so they dont rust. I just put the first set they made of the plated style on my S2.

I'm not a huge fan of where your fuel filter is mounted. I'd prefer to have that back by the fuel tank and not up in the engine bay...
