I'm looking at these 'RUF' wheels for my '86. Any thoughts to the fit and if they are genuine?

Rim diameter: 17"
Rim width: 8"
Qty: 4

Have had these tucked away for a while now but circumstances mean I have to sell them.

Genuine set of RUF wheels.
Markings on the back read - AVUS Europe RUF R8.
These don't come up for sale very often here in New Zealand.

Specs....

17x8's et30.4 5x130

Wheels were originally bronze, however, previous owner has attacked the faces of them with a can of black spray paint. Unfortunately not very well, so the paint is flaking off in places. I would budget to have them properly refurbished to do them justice.

Had personally planned to have them refurbished to their former glory but never got round to it. Realise these go for crazy money when in great condition so have priced accordingly.

Wow. Interesting choice to anodize. Are the lug seats supposed to be anodized too?

Default Bringing back a valuable tire thread,

I'm wanting to upgrade the wheels and tires on my '86 944 NA (build date October 1985) and looking for some insight . These are the new wheels and tire sizes considering. Good or bad?

Wheels; Front 17x7.5 52 mm. Rear 17x8.5 45 mm.

Tires; Front 205-50-17. Rear 255-40-17.

Tire brand to be determined. Looking for tires with a tread wear at 200+. Brand of tires not significant at this stage of purchase but recommendations welcome.

Wanting to know if wheels and tire size will fit and/or what spacers or mods may be needed?

Those look awesome. Do the fittment math and get them if you can fit them nicely.

I see now.
I miss my old Hirschmanns. From my '77 924:

Default Gemballa Le Mans

No one has gemballa Le Mans 18" 8's and 10's.
Maybe I'm looking for unobtainium wheels!
Not my car but I love the look and would love to find a set. One guy did contact me with a set but no so forth coming with the details. Scam?

I can see a set of 3 Gemballa wheels for auction in Japan. They must have bent one. They are two 18x11 and one 18x9, PCD62+ for both.

but I can also see there's another auction for a pair of 18x11 of the same wheels so you could get win both and get a square set of 18x11's lol.

I've seen a few in 9's and 11's, but me thinks too wide for my S2!

Anyway perhaps a very rare beast at least here in the States. I'll keep searching.

11's can work with the right offset. I have a set of 11's from a 996 turbo on my 90 S2 cab. You may need to do some extensive fender rolling.

Default Gemballa Lemans 8x11

I bought these for my S2 but I'm not 100% sure about them now - 8J et 52 and 11j et 62.
I might be tempted to sell at the right price.
