Default WHEEL ADAPTERS

Has anyone used the wheel adapters that change the bolt pattern to use different wheels? What were the results?

Probably not what your looking for, but I put replica 18 x 10s on my 540. The Porsche offset was large enough to fit a spacer with BMW lugbolts on the inside and Porsche studs on the outside. So far no issues. OK the 285-30s may rub. Sometimes...

I have adaptors from Porsche bolt pattern (5x130mm) to 5x114.3mm and also 5x120mm. Not experiencing any problems on either set, just make sure you pair up the right thickness adaptors with the right width and offset wheels you choose.

Just found them for sale locally, but I think ebay has them, or you can probably get a machine shop to custom make them to your specs.

I know a guy with a water jet cutter. Will cut steel up to 8" thick. What are yours made of?

That's sweet. Find a set of wheels you like, figure out what offset they are and how much spacer thickness you will need for front and back. Shouldn't be more than an inch or two at the most.

I think mine are just billet aluminum with studs pressed in.

I use this guy for mine, http://www.lugmanusa.com/index.htm
He makes the to my specs, any bolt pattern and hub centric.
And he's reasonably priced.

I got them from http://www.radusadirect.com/ I had leftover stock studs, the cost was the wheel and spacer. The BMW needed 30 mm so there was plenty of metal for studs and lugs. Its generic 6061-T6, plenty strong, easy machining.
