Lindsey Racing balance shaft dele kit?
So the balance shaft delete kit from Lindsey racing is cheaper than pulleys and belts. Does anyone use this delete kit? Does it vibrate like crap?

while driving my balance shaft belt skipped some teeth and i lost my balance shafts. It was pretty harsh and not pleasent. For racing i guess it would be alright but theres no way imo you can run without balance shafts in a street car or why you would want too??

Running no balance shafts on my n/a car and a friends car for about a year. Oil pickup tube reinforcment iis highly recommended. Minor vibration at certain RPM's occurs, but no big deal really. If the belt skips a few teeth then it will be much worse than not running the belt at all.
Not sure about the balance shaft delete kit though...

i'm not running the balance shafts on one of my racers.
purely because its one of the few modifictions alowed in the cup.
maybe you'l gain 1-2 hp with it... but every little bit is welcome in our strict regulations.
i still got original engine mounts (regulations) and to be honestly, i don't really notice it while racing.
on my other racer i will keep them, since alot more mods are alowed in the cup i'm building that one for, so it's not necessary to gain hp.
better for the egine, better for the car.

Yup, it's a good way to crack your oil pickup tube (oil starvation = quick engine death), fuel rail (late 944's; causes huge engine fire), and loosen bolts. Not worth it at all.

Most of the guys (racers) I know are putting the balance shafts back because of these 2 main specific failures.
